Enric Perarnau Ollé received a double degree (MSc) in Energy Engineering, Sustainability and Innovation at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm) and KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2018. Before that, in 2016, he graduated from BSc in Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). He is now involved in an industrial PhD programme at UPC MICROTECH LAB together with SEAT, with the main focus onto the design of service-purpose vehicles that will offer new mobility services in a sharing environment (e.g. car-sharing or ride-hailing). His PhD Thesis will focus on the design and development of a new microfluidic system for the automatic detection and classification of unpleasant odours and hazardous particles inside shared vehicles. The main goal is to create a whole new environment inside shared vehicles that contribute to a better user experience and cut down operational and maintenance costs of these vehicles.
