TSI – Litron Lasers NANO L135-15 PIV
The TSI–Litron Lasers NANO L135-15 PIV is a pulsed Nd:YAG laser system specifically designed for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), a non-invasive optical technique used to visualize and measure fluid flow. The laser delivers high-energy pulses (typically at 532 nm) that are shaped into a thin light sheet to illuminate tracer particles suspended in the fluid. High-speed cameras capture successive images of these particles, and specialized software processes their displacement to compute velocity fields with high spatial resolution. The system itself acts as the illumination source within a complete PIV setup and is optimized for producing uniform light sheets and reliable double-pulse operation. PIV systems are widely used in fluid dynamics, microfluidics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer research to investigate flow behavior, mixing, and transport phenomena.
